3rd week in Cheplung

November 2nd:
Much accomplished today for Pemba and Tyler. They spent the day hiking from home to home distributing funds to appreciative sherpa homes.
Starting just around the corner from our home base, the day extended to the outskirts of Cheplung village. I saw the boys in the morning at the rebuild project where I spent the day,, they arrived back at Khumbila Guest House after dark. During the day they visited ten different homes to distribute funds and offer support and encouragement.
(The Pema Choling Ghomba )- Rimizung Monastery was the big stop of the day as it has been badly damaged and will require extensive repairs. It is a very important piece of sherpafo culture and all are saddened by to see it in such a poor state.
